Michelin's Grand Touring Summer tire, the Primacy HP, is created to deliver longer tread life and lasting performance, as well as steering control, better braking, and handling on wet roads. Employing three fundamental factors of Michelin’s design innovation called A.S.M. (Architecture, Sculpture and Materials), the Primacy HP blends an architecture that deforms more easily to optimize contact with the road, a tread design sculpture that remains rigid so more of the footprint contributes to performance, and unique tread compound materials precisely blended by Michelin's mixing technology. The Primacy HP tires also meet Michelin's Green X standard for eco-focused manufacturing while reducing vehicle fuel consumption, emission of CO2 gases and improving sustainability.

The Primacy HP tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by size-optimized BAZ Technology to further increase ride quality while delivering high-speed durability. Using a new generation Michelin tread compound, Primacy HP tires are molded into an asymmetric tread design that features large, linked shoulder blocks, notched intermediate ribs and a solid center rib to marry responsive handling and high-speed stability with traction and balanced treadwear.

Primacy HP tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
